Rust and Mörbisch Map - Austria
Mörbisch and Rust are on located on the western side of Neusiedler lake (Neusiedlersee) in Eastern Austria. The area is popular with the Viennese as a recreation area; the landscape is a World Heritage Site.
Mörbisch is know for its operetta festival on the Lake. The stage, marked on the map, is indeed right on the lake.

The two lakeside villages are in Burgenland, a region of Austria with a unique architectural style as well as some fine wines, from dry to sweet whites and some good reds.
National Park Neusiedler See
On the opposite side of the lake, the National Park Neusiedler See offers some great bird watching as well as walks (best done in spring and fall--the grape harvest in the Seewinkel area lasts from the end of August to the middle of October). The park is connected with the Hungarian National Park Fertö-Hansag Nemzeti. The visitor center is in Illmitz, Austria.
